My graduate collection celebrates the love of wool in all its forms, as well as the scrappy and resourceful techniques that make this fiber into our most cherished heirlooms. For instance, I machine-knit the fabric for the bomber jacket and pullover entirely with second-hand scrap yarn, then fulled the fabric in a washing machine to make it thicker, warmer and suitable for cutting and sewing. The neck ribbing on the organza jacket is hand-knit, and all wool wovens were found in lots of donated fabric.
